Leisure and Lifestyle Coordinator
Permanent Part Time - 72 hours per fortnight

Classification:
Administration Officer Grade 3 (HS3)

Award:
Victorian Public Health Sector (Health and Allied Services, Managers and Administrative Workers) Single Interest Enterprise Agreement

Maryborough District Health Service are seeking an enthusiastic person to bring energy and passion to the role of Leisure and Lifestyle Coordinator.

This role will be responsible for coordinating the leisure and lifestyles assistants across the three residential aged care facilities at MDHS.

MDHS is committed to maintaining a homelike environment based on the Montessori philosophy with respectful partnerships, purposeful and meaningful engagement, choice, flexibility and enabling environments.

  • Previous experience within a leisure and lifestyle coordinator role desirable
  • Passion for person centred care
  • Knowledge of Montessori model of care
  • Understanding of how to support people living with dementia
  • Excellent communication
  • Basic Life Support Certificate

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA
Essential

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or Certificate 4 in Leisure and Lifestyle.
  • Previous experience within a Leisure and Lifestyle Coordinator position desirable.
Technical/Professional Knowledge and skills

  • Enthusiastic and dedicated approach to working closely with resident's clients and families in line with Montessori principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with and manage a team.
  • Demonstrated communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Knowledge of Aged Care Quality Standards.
  • Ability to follow direction and work within the Residential Care team and community environment.
  • Excellent computer skills.

  • Ability to maintain a friendly, courteous and customer focus, giving due regard to customer and MDHS values.
