About The Role

The role of the Clinical Practice Advisor involves enhancing the capabilities of Scope's Operations and Service Delivery teams to ensure the safe and effective delivery of disability-related healthcare to SIL clients. Registered Nurses will oversee a designated group of SIL homes in both metropolitan and regional Victoria, providing support to frontline staff and senior leaders. Key responsibilities of this 12-month fixed-term opportunity include:

  • Building strong relationships to facilitate the provision of disability-related health support and high-intensity support to Scope clients.
  • Standardizing client documentation to better understand and address client needs.
  • Offering clinical assessment, guidance, coaching, and training to frontline staff to support clients effectively.
  • Ensuring compliance with Scope policies, NDIS Practice Standards, Quality Indicators, and relevant legislation.
  • Implementing a person-centred active support model to enhance client autonomy and aspirations.

Registered Nurses will need to travel within metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria to fulfill their responsibilities.

About You

To excel in this role, you should meet the qualifications and experience outlined in the job description, including:

  • Registered Nurse Division 1 with at least 5 years of experience and full work rights.
  • Proficiency in managing complex care needs like dysphagia, epilepsy, diabetes, asthma, etc.
  • Strong clinical assessment and care planning skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with customers, advocates, and teams for effective service delivery.
  • Experience in coaching and supporting staff in clinical activities.
  • Prior experience in disability care or home care is advantageous.
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (preferred).
