Northeast Health Wangaratta (NHW) is the major health provider in the Central Hume region with an extensive range of acute, sub-acute, aged care and community services.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Injury Management Advisor to join our People and Culture Team. This role reports to the Health, Safety and Well being Manager and will assist in driving proactive management and intervention to support staff return to work utilizing best practice strategies.

This role will require a focused individual to demonstrate an ability to liaise with injured workers, managers, our insurance agent, medical practitioners and rehabilitation providers. You will need to be able provide guidance and advice in WorkCover Management, rehabilitation/return to work programs and continuous improvement strategies and services.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Return to Work Coordinator Certificate
  • Relevant experience in a large, complex organisation
  • Demonstrate experience with complex claims management
  • Recent demonstrable experience in invoice and weekly payments processing
  • Contemporary knowledge of best practice in injury management
  • Passionate about providing excellent care to injured workers and their return to work
  • Be empathetic, supportive and have an engaging style
