What you'll do

As a Business Analyst at CTM, you will play a pivotal role in translating complex problems and exciting opportunities into innovative technical solutions using your outstanding stakeholder engagement skills. You will be working on carefully planned and prioritized initiatives in our dynamic delivery team, operating on a continuous delivery model (Agile).

Additionally,

  • You will play a pivotal role in our software development activities, supporting various areas within our technology department, including front-end, back-end, APIs, data, and DevOps.
  • As a significant part of your role, you will build strong relationships through engagement with customers, colleagues, and key stakeholders.
  • Essential to the role, you will be comfortable and capable of collaborating with delivery teams and business stakeholders to gather, validate, and document business requirements.
  • You will develop recommendations and solutions that align with business and customer needs.
  • Depending on the objective, you may be tasked to document existing and future state processes, identifying opportunities for improvement, and suggesting enhancements to optimize workflows.
  • A key attribute will be your ability to utilize effective information gathering techniques to proactively uncover requirements and synthesize information accurately and coherently.
  • We need you to champion agile delivery practices, advise on best practices and adhere to common standards.
  • Use established tools and CTM's delivery framework to identify, communicate, and actively contribute to the mitigation and resolution of risks in our delivery pipeline.
  • Work closely with squad members, including Product Owners, Developers and Test Analysts to efficiently plan, and deliver changes.
  • Mentor new or junior team members, actively participate in knowledge-sharing forums for Business Analysts to provide insights and thought leadership.

What you'll bring

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Technology
  • CBAP, IIBA-AAC, agile BA certification highly regarded.
  • Agile, Scrum Master or Project Management qualifications welcome

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3+ years of professional experience in a Business Analyst role
  • Demonstrated capability to translate and understand business and technical requirements to provide suitable alternatives and solutions to effectively fulfill those requirements.
  • Experience in a range of agile methodologies and adapting these to create an optimal fit for the team's way of working.
  • Experience mentoring others is highly regarded.

Skills:

  • Proficient in business analysis principles and well-versed in agile development frameworks and methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, enabling you to convey complex information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to facilitate effective communication and collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Possess strong problem-solving, critical thinking and negotiation skills.
  • Have a positive attitude, a desire for continuous learning, and want to make a meaningful impact.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Maintain a proactive and growth-oriented mindset to anticipate and address challenges, identify improvement opportunities, and approach tasks with a can-do attitude.
