The Role

This role involves planning, managing, executing, and reporting on testing activities, including defect identification and management. It supports functional testing across Marketing departments, encompassing System, Integration, Functional, Regression, and Production Verification Testing, as well as automation testing. Testing responsibilities include mobile app development, digital analytics, A/B testing, email and web page builds, customer journey orchestration, data segmentation, and reporting dashboards. The Testing Analyst will develop recommendations and define appropriate testing approaches, designing tests to mitigate risks associated with outputs and campaigns.

Position Accountabilities

  • Collaborate with MMA teams to define testing requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Follow divisional processes to write test cases that identify weaknesses and mitigate risks.
  • Work with BI or Technology teams to provide test estimations and clarify requirements.
  • Conduct thorough QA testing for content, data integration, and functionality across various platforms and devices.
  • Develop automation processes for email and website testing.
  • Manage testing across disciplines including Email Development, Web Development, Mobile App Development, AB Testing, Digital Analytics, and Offer Portal development.
  • Analyze and test email communications.
  • Create test cases with requirement traceability.
  • Analyze and test website communications with complex analytics platforms.
  • Test page views, events, and custom data tracking for analytics platforms.
  • Have an in-depth understanding of in-browser testing techniques such as monitoring network and console logs.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Degree in Information Technology or equivalent from a recognized institution, or relevant qualifications/experience deemed acceptable by Auto and General.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience as a Test Analyst.
  • Demonstrated expertise in creating test plans, traceability matrices, test case design, execution, defect management, and reporting.
  • Experience in Agile environments.
  • Experience with digital analytics or business analytics testing.
  • Proficiency in mobile app development and device testing.
  • Experience in automation testing.
