The Community team is responsible for providing strategic direction, governance, management, and activation of key community investments including shared value partnerships and programs, grants and workplace giving.


Key to the role of Community Relations Coordinator:

  • Develop and deliver the Community Grants programs for the benefit of the organisation and community
  • Activate and manage community programs to deliver on the community and enterprise strategies
  • Deliver workforce engagement programs (i.e workplace giving)

What you'll be doing:

  • Deliver world class community programs that engage our team members, community and customers to enhance Australia Post's brand and reputation and supports the delivery of our enterprise strategy
  • In conjunction with the Chief Marketing Office and Corporate Affairs functions, deliver internal and external marketing and communications campaigns to highlight the community programs of work
  • Provide post implementation analysis and recommendations of the community grants programs to drive continual improvement
  • Support the management of the Enterprise Partnership, Sponsorship and Membership governance
  • Provide excellent service to internal and external stakeholders, including members of the Australia Post Group team members, community organisations, customers and the community
  • Streamline processes and communications to ensure they are professional, understandable, and efficient
  • Work across a matrix organisation and navigate complex stakeholder priorities to put the customer and community at the centre of decision making
  • Participate in a collaborative, high performing team that optimises existing talent and engages a diverse workforce around a common purpose

What we're looking for

  • 3 years of experience in designing and delivering community grants or partnership programs
  • Communications, Marketing or Business tertiary degree marketing experience highly desirable for promoting successful grants within the community
  • Experience in navigating, collaborating and influencing stakeholders within a large matrix organisation
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills with sensitivity to diverse audiences and stakeholders
  • An understanding and relationships with the notforprofit sector and advocacy bodies in Australia
