Purpose of the Role
The Senior Desktop Support Analyst is responsible for providing Desktop Support services to users associated with operating installed hardware and software.
Position Accountabilities
- Provide technical support to users for desktop issues (phone, face-to-face, remote, onsite)
- Respond to assistance requests and help users resolve problems
- Maintain accurate logs of faults, resolutions, and contact details
- Ensure hardware/software installations and upgrades meet service level and quality targets
- Provide professional service with regular updates and realistic resolution times
- Work independently on tasks to achieve quality outcomes
- Interface effectively between users and service providers, supplying diagnostic information
- Escalate unresolved technical queries as per procedures
- Seek opportunities to improve desktop support and service delivery
- Participate in ongoing team training
Other:
- Comply with company policies, procedures, and mandatory training
- Perform other relevant activities as needed to meet operational requirements
- achieve maximum value and impact.
Qualifications and Experience:
- 3-5 years of Desktop Support experience with relevant qualifications or certifications
- Strong technical knowledge of Microsoft and Mac OS X hardware and software
- Expertise in configuring and troubleshooting Android and Apple mobile devices
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple requests and issues
- Knowledge of the organization's Standard Operating Environment (SOE)
- Experience administering endpoints using SCCM
- Proficient in application packaging and software deployment
Preferred:
- Skills in scripting and automation
- ITIL Foundation Certification
