Seeking qualified and skilled individuals for the position of Unified Collaboration & Digital Media Infrastructure Team Leader within the End User Computing section, which is a part of the Security & Infrastructure Branch of the Technology & Security Division (TSD) for a Federal Government Department.


The Unified Collaboration workgroup is responsible for various essential tasks, including:

  • Managing video/voice/chat collaboration services
  • Overseeing video conferencing facilities and management infrastructure
  • Handling cloudbased call centre services (CCaaS)
  • Managing the digital media infrastructure for live streaming and ondemand services for events and meetings
  • Leading infrastructure projects such as technology migrations (e.g., Skype to Teams, adoption of Microsoft Teams recording and events streaming), designing and implementing audiovisual infrastructure, and planning and implementing desktop and cloudbased collaboration services
  • Ensuring the smooth operation of Microsoft 365 services
  • Managing and administering virtual environments, including virtualized desktops.

Key Responsibilities:

As the Unified Collaboration & Digital Media Infrastructure Team Leader, your responsibilities will include:

  • Deploying, maintaining, and providing technical support for IT Collaboration infrastructure (both on-premise and cloud-based)
  • Diagnosing and resolving technical problems related to collaboration and digital media infrastructure
  • Resolving client queries, providing level 2/3 support
  • Collaborating with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements and implement effective solutions to meet those requirements.

Skills/Expertise Required:

  • Proven interpersonal skills with a background in providing ICT client service support
  • The ability to use initiative and approach the resolution of complex ICT problems in a methodical manner
  • Demonstrated experience in administering and deploying Microsoft 365 services, with a focus on collaboration services and Microsoft Teams.
  • Tertiary qualifications or relevant work experience in an ICT field, aligned with the selection criteria
  • Experience with collaboration products and services such as Microsoft Teams and M365, as well as Poly video conferencing
  • Experience in telephony and contact center administration
  • Experience in managing and delivering small to medium ICT projects in a networked environment.
