Wood is currently seeking a
Supply Chain Lead to join our growing Minerals & Metals division, to support large scale projects we have opciming in Q2 of 2023

Wood is at the forefront of engineering solutions for a net zero future.

A key component of decarbonising the world is the Mining and Minerals Industry which supplies the critical minerals required for this revolution.

Wood is currently delivering critical metals projects (Battery and Magnet metals) all over the world, including Copper, Lithium, Vanadium, Rare Earths, and Base Metals projects.

Working in our newly fitted offices in the Perth CBD, we have an onsite gym with five-star end of trip facilities.

Key accountabilities and responsibilities may include, but will not be limited to;

  • Ensure the successful delivery of all supply chain activities for their area
  • Develop, mentor, and actively promote succession planning amongst your team
  • Provides guidance, direction, and support to all relevant stakeholders on both Woods and the suppliers specific contractual obligations and responsibilities
  • Ensures all supply chain activities are carried out in accordance with the project execution plan/schedule and/or contracting strategy, within approved budgets and in line with project processes and procedures
  • Establish and manage the project / procurement status report (PSR) in line with project / client required on site dates and current / estimate lead times,
  • Establish and chair regular PSR meetings with client, procurement, engineering and/or project management personnel to ensure dates for preorder deliverables are being maintained


Procurement
  • Coordinate and execute all phases of the procurement process
  • Utilisation of Wood supply chain management system (Convero) or designated systems
  • Act as a role model and champion Woods vision, values

Skills / Qualifications:

This opportunity is seeking an experienced Supply Chain lead who is wishing the next step in joining a global engineering consultancy, working with large scale local/international projects where you will work alongside a dedicated team of professionals in a collaborative and team focused working culture.

To be successful in the role we are looking for the following skills/attributes

  • Bachelor's degree or Equivalent in business related discipline, ideally supply chain or procurement, and CIPS qualified
  • Detailed understanding of key subcontracting / procurement concepts and principles within a projectbased environment relative to resourcebased projects
  • Experience within post award projects, ability to consult with varied internal/external stakeholders
  • Understanding of Subcontract Agreements and Framework Agreements
  • Experience with various Industry forms of Subcontracts & Logistics and Materials Management
  • Exposure across a variety of ERP systems
  • Sels starter with confidence in coaching and mentoring your team and promote succession planning.
  • Ability to oversee complex commercial evaluations, negotiations and terms and condition qualification
  • Ability to maintain a strong network, building effective relations with your key stakeholders
  • Positively maintain relationships with suppliers, clients, and other disciplines
