Supply Chain / Australian Industry Capability (AIC) Manager to join their professional team based in Perth WA.

The Supply Chain/AIC Manager will oversee the Australian Industry Activity (AIA) commitments in accordance with the AIC plan. The Supply Chain/AIC Manager's role includes leadership of the procurement, inventory subcontract management teams.

Sample list of Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Ensure all works are completed in accordance with all project AIC plan commitments and/or in accordance with the Procurement targets
  • Actively research and identify ways to incorporate AIC
  • Direct AIC improvements and initiatives where appropriate
  • Drive continuous improvement of lead times, operating costs and product quality
  • Research and identify innovative, costeffective supply chain partners.
  • Lead Procurement and Inventory Control teams to realise justintime delivery of equipment
  • Generate and maintain supplier agreements and source and prioritise Australian suppliers
  • Establish and conduct supplier audits
  • Incorporate feedback from supply chain, employees, & industry groups to broaden Australian capability
  • Monitor and report on agreed supply chain health indicators, taking action as required
  • Communicate effectively with customers, subcontractors, employees and stakeholders
  • Prepare monthly reports
  • Observe and abide by policies and procedures
  • Implement, manage and review of the projectspecific AIC plan
  • Ensure all prospective suppliers and subcontractors are evaluated and inducted in line with QMS and induction procedures

Skills & Experience:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Business Management / Accounting / Supply Chain Management or other related field
  • Certificate IV / Diploma in Procurement and Contracting or similar is favourable
  • Formal project management training is ideal
  • 10 years' experience in complex logistics and supply chain management. Specifically, in relation to high value government/Defence project
  • 10 years' experience in contracts management and negotiation
  • Experience with Defence Procurement Guidelines and Indigenous Procurement policies is highly favourable
  • Strong analytical, planning, problem solving and organisation skills
  • Experience managing and communicating with a large team of people, including subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Demonstrable ability to track supplychain progress and prepare regular reports for internal management teams and customers as required
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Project or Open Plan Professional and other relevant programs
