About the position
We are looking for an experienced Project Coordinator to join the pre-construction team. Your main responsibility will be handling all approvals for the pre-construction stages. Reporting to the Pre-Construction Manager, you will oversee the approvals process from tender phase to handover to construction teams. You'll need to have a good technical understanding of the building process and deliverables, while also interacting with consultants and clients. This role is crucial in setting up construction projects by obtaining permits and approvals. You'll collaborate with project teams, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders to manage pre-construction approvals and compliance.
Main Duties:
- Prepare and submit permit applications, ensuring all needed documentation is accurate and complies with regulations.
- Communicate with local authorities and stakeholders to facilitate approvals.
- Review construction plans for compliance with regulations.
- Update project teams on approval status and coordinate with other departments.
- Collaborate with professionals to resolve compliance issues and ensure project timelines.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, or related field.
- Prior experience in construction project management or permitting.
- Thorough knowledge of building codes and regulations.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
- Organized with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Problem-solving skills and proactive mindset.
