RiverCity Ferries is a subsidiary of Kelsian Group Limited, contracted to operate and maintain the Brisbane City Council's Ferry fleet with associated infrastructure.
The network of 26 terminals is serviced by 30 vessels over a 20km stretch of the Brisbane River, moving over 5 million passengers a year.
A Maintenance Facility at Rivergate Marina, together with an Operation Base at Hawthorne form the primary places maintenance is performed.
About the Role

Your responsibilities will include developing and implementing HR strategies, managing employee relations & training, and fostering a culture that aligns with RiverCity Ferries' values.
About You
The successful applicant must possess:
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in HR management, with a focus on culture development.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build effective working relationships at all levels of the organisation.
- Demonstrated ability to drive HR initiatives that contribute to organisational success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute HR strategies that support organisational goals and objectives.
- Implement effective talent acquisition and retention strategies to attract and retain top talent.
- Lead the Learning and Development Department with one direct report
- Lead initiatives to enhance employee engagement, satisfaction, and overall wellbeing.
- Manage employee relations, addressing concerns, and promoting a positive work environment.
- Collaborate with leadership to ensure alignment of HR practices with business objectives.
- Design and implement professional development programs to nurture employee growth.
- Oversee performance management processes and guide managers and employees.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices to drive continuous improvement.
