The Organisation


Adelaide Venue Management Corporation (AVM) is the operator of three of Adelaide's leading event venues - the Adelaide Convention Centre (ACC), Adelaide Entertainment Centre (AEC) and Coopers Stadium (CS).


The Role


AVM currently has an exceptional opportunity for a suitably experienced professional Human Resources Manager to assist in steering AVM's people-related strategies, policies, programs and practices and to steer a highly engaged workforce and a high-performance culture.


Reporting to the General Manager, Human Resources and working as part of a close-knit, high-performing team, the position requires a driven and engaging individual to work proactively, with a relative degree of autonomy, in delivering sound advice.


Your duties would include but not limited to:

  • Provide quality advisory and support services to managers and employees across all AVM venues.
  • Assist the General Manager, Human Resources with industrial relations and employee performance, discipline and dismissal matters.
  • Act as the point of contact for any industrial / employee relations correspondence, meetings and investigations, inclusive of the general coordination of the AVM Consultative Committee.
  • Administer the performance review process and provide guidance to managers throughout the performance review process.
  • Together with your talent management team, execute and oversee practices (including recruitment, development training, attraction & retention, induction and exit management, etc.) that are effective and align to good corporate governance.

About You

  • Knowledge and experience, particularly in the industrial relations space.
  • Ability to build rapport with demonstrated respectful interactions with employees and others.
  • An ability to confidently communicate and professionally interact with people from a diverse range of cultural, social and educational backgrounds.
  • You will have initiative, a proactive 'can do' attitude and be flexible, innovative and solutionsfocused in your approach to your work.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, unwavering attention to detail and demonstrated ability to set goals and achieve them.
  • High level of computer literacy.
