In this role, you'll:

Take up an amazing opportunity as a Town Planning Officer in one of the most interesting and diverse town planning roles


Provide town planning services to support the rail authority and landowner functions of Transport for NSW and Transport Asset Holding Entity (TAHE).


This isn't your normal town planner role, this position will see you manage the review of a range of projects within and adjacent to the rail corridor.

You will work with a range of consent authorities across multiple Councils and the Department of Planning and other key stakeholders with interests in working in and around our Rail Corridor.


You will ensure existing systems and processes are kept up to date and aligned with any changes in the planning framework and/or within the agency.

About you:


You are a high performing and qualified town planner who can demonstrate solid statutory and strategic urban planning knowledge while providing accurate, attentive and professional town planning support within the Transport space.

You have outstanding organisational skills and an ability to work under pressure. You are a problem-solver with a strong customer focus, who enjoys working as part of a team.

Ideally, you are a strong communicator with an ability to effectively deliver information both visually and in writing.


A genuine desire to work on behalf of the people of NSW, in this team you will directly impact millions of trains the lines efficiency and the safety of NSW commuters.

This role is being offered as a fixed-term employment opportunity until September 2024.
