The role

Reporting to the Head of Key Accounts, this integral role involves leveraging our market leading digital and data products to develop relationships with our existing key clients. With the objective of retaining and expanding current business across the Dealer Network.

Working towards the long term success of Cox Automotive Australia, the Key Account Manager will also support the achievement of sales and revenue budgets, and identify growth opportunities for the business in the designated business segment.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with the National Head of Key Accounts to prepare annual and longer-term business plans around Key Accounts and overall sales activities
  • Develop and implement effective Key Performance Operating Metrics to enable and drive the strategic direction of the business
  • Develop trusting relationships with a portfolio of major clients to ensure business retention and mitigate churn
  • Ensure regular account reviews are conducted across key customer base and relayed back to the Head of Key Accounts
  • Maintain agreed Service Level Agreements (SLA's) with Key Accounts to maintain customer engagement, measured through customer surveys
  • Drive the continued enhancement and execution of segment and account plans across allocated client base
  • Establish strong relationships with key internal stakeholders such as Product Managers, Customer Success Executives etc.


Skills & Experience:

  • Similar experience in a medium to large organisation or significant equivalent experience in the Automotive industry
  • Strong communication & decision-making skills
  • Ability to study, analyse, and interpret complex activities and/or information in order to improve new practices or develop new approaches
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Skilled in negotiation and value-based selling
  • Strong leadership and organisation skills
  • Ability to balance multiple responsibilities while providing excellent customer service
  • Experience with Automotive digital, data and CRM products, and an understanding of dealership operations will be highly regarded
