As we celebrate an exciting time with growth and strong financial results, we have a rare and exciting opportunity for a seasoned Key Account Manager – Business Development to join our sales team in this newly created role to support our growth strategy.

Actively seek out new business opportunities in the mid-market sector that align with Cleanaway's value proposition and growth strategy.

Provide timely responses to unsolicited tender opportunities to understand the clients requirements and goals, and align those in professional tender submissions and presentations.

Deliver the highest standard in professional conduct, personal presentation, and company image.

Prepare and submit regular market intelligence, tender activity, and competitor activity reports.

Proactively manage prospect and customer relationships effectively through transition and handover to the Account and Key Account Management team to maximise customer experience and share of wallet/market share.

Identifying, targeting, and acquiring new key accounts & building a pipeline of new opportunities.

Prepare sales presentations and regular reports on account status, revenue, and growth opportunities.

About You

Based at Northgate, Brisbane, you will essentially work autonomously and be supported by a large team of sales professionals and a business unit sales lead. In this critical role, you will prospect and secure critical business opportunities in the mid-market sector.

Strong strategic business-to-business sales experience, converting prospects and quotes into profitable new business.

Proven ability to utilise interpersonal and sales skills at multiple levels within a client organisation to maximise sales for new business.

Significant commercial acumen, financial, quoting, budgeting, preparing for and facilitating new business meetings.

Demonstrate effective stakeholder engagement within a complex business structure.

Tech savvy and proficient in Microsoft Office, and experience with a Sales CRM is desirable.

Valid Driver's License (Unrestricted).
