Be Challenged and Imagine With Us

We are committed to inspiring and empowering our people.

We are creating an environment for our Talent Acquisition (TA) team to deliver a proactive, value-adding service for our stakeholders and the high-quality outcomes essential for the achievement of our Looking Ahead strategy.

Part of a team of Talent Acquisition (TA) professionals that deliver advice and support to University hiring managers for the recruitment of academic, professional and teacher roles, we are evolving our support model to enable us to deliver support and advice with impact.

Our TA team sit within a portfolio that also includes Organisational Development, Capability & Development, and People Strategy & Projects, working collaboratively across a range of activities.

What will make you successful in this role?

We're looking for someone that:

  • can build relationships with, and influence, a diverse range of stakeholders;
  • values being part of a team, but is equally effective when operating independently;
  • is curious, with a mindset of wanting to proactively learn;
  • displays the judgement to know where to strike the balance between process and outcome, understanding that process has value;
  • has deep experience of client and candidate behaviour, and can bring this to bear when influencing, communicating, attracting and negotiating; and
  • is tech-savvy and wants to maximise the benefits of our existing tools and platforms, as well as keeping abreast of the ever-changing landscape of tools that could increase efficiency and effectiveness.

Extensive 360 degree recruitment experience is a given, as are highly developed organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

And experience from the education sector is not a dealbreaker - we have successfully supported the transition of recruiters into our team whose experience has been acquired in other large, complex environments.

What's in it for you?

2024 is an exciting time at the University. As one of our Talent Acquisition Specialists you will have the opportunity to work for an organisation with purpose, whose values underpin everything that we do. In this role you will have the platform to:

  • work closely with members of the University hiring community on a range of academic positions and specialist (non-academic) positions, moving your role to that of trusted advisor;
  • challenge yourself in a busy, complex but rewardingenvironment;
  • acquire hands-on experience of LiveHire, a contemporary ATS and talent pooling platform;
  • work with your hiring community to raise capability; and
  • work on projects that support the evolution of the TA team and our support model.

Generative AI
