Our Centre for Health Research (CHR) has a vision to be recognised for delivering world-class research and development in health, focused on the health and well-being of regional Australians, with an emphasis on the social and behavioural sciences broadly defined.


What you'll do
As a Research Assistant, you will contribute to projects within the Innovative Mental Health Solutions (IMHS) Research team that are:

  • evaluating the effectiveness of digital, population-level models of care for child and adolescent mental health;
- delivering digital screening tools in school-based settings; and
- developing new just-in-time digital interventions for chronic health concerns.

In particular, you will assist the team with the:

  • day-to-day management of projects and related administrative duties to ensure key project outcomes are met.
- implementation of promotional activities to increase community awareness about the project.
- creation of research materials such as intervention materials, assessments, graphics and videos for websites and interventions, and treatment manuals.
- collection of research data by engaging in participant recruitment and preparing outputs from the research such as reports.

What will help you succeed


Together with your relevant qualifications, you will have a passion for mental health research that will make a real difference for Australian families.

Your conduct of research activities in the fields of mental health assessment, prevention or treatment, and digital or child and adolescent projects will be beneficial to your success in this role.


You will also have:
- an ability to work effectively in a team research environment and also autonomously to achieve high quality project outcomes.
- excellent interpersonal skills, including an ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of stakeholders.
- experience in implementing promotional activities such as recruitment, social media engagement, website management and organising webinars/seminars.

As a requirement of this role applicants must have/eligibility to obtain a current Blue Card (Working with Children)
