The Practice Lead will play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of services by JewishCare is aligned with NDIS, Aged Care Standards and Child Safe Policies.


Purpose of Position:

  • This position accountable for all aspects of service delivery to our clients across assigned programs, ensuring the organisations strategic objectives are implemented.
  • The Practice Lead will play a key role in ensuring the business is compliant with NDIS commission, Child Safety requirements, Aged Care Complaints Commission requirements relating to best practice, reporting incidents, and educating and supporting leadership and support workers.

Specific aspects of the role will include the following;

  • Manage front line Leaders and their teams to deliver Person Centred Active Support according to the Practice Framework in all aspects of Client support;
  • Providing clinical supervision and advice to staff and leading complex case panel reviews;
  • Supporting support coordinators and care managers with hands on support and capability uplift;
  • Ensure compliance with NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission NDIS Practice Standards;
  • Adhere to NDIS registration requirements in identifying and reporting restrictive practices through the incident management system and the NDIS Commission reporting system.

Desired Skills and Experience:

Essential Criteria:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Registered Nursing OR Mental Health Clinician and AHPRA Registration;
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in mental health and NDIS, working with people with a disability;
  • Indepth experience in NDIS Quality and Safeguarding requirements
  • Experience in managing a multidisciplinary team and in providing leadership and supervision;
  • Experienced in managing budgets;
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and its implications for clients.
  • Knowledge of WH&S principles;
  • Experienced in Case and File Reviews as well as Risk and Incident reviews;
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills, demonstrating clarity and conciseness in a convincing manner. Listens effectively;
  • Experienced in engaging and consulting with a range of stakeholders including Families, service users and NDIS;
  • Current First Aid Certificate;
  • Current drivers' license;
  • Intermediate to Advanced IT skills in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of products (Outlook, Excel, Word;
  • High level of attention to detail and experience in responding to high risk disclosures.
  • Experience in Case Manager Training and capability uplift, Incidental Supervision.

  • Knowledge, sensitivity and an understanding of Jewish values, heritage and culture;
