Due to our recent acquisition of Searles Garden Products we are hiring a Procurement and Planning Manager for our site located in Kilcoy, QLD.

Job Description This pivotal role will be responsible for overseeing the procurement of materials, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring the efficient planning of our production processes.


Procurement Management:
Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials.
Identify, evaluate, and manage supplier relationships to maintain high standards of quality and reliability.
Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to secure advantageous deals.
Monitor market trends and adjust procurement strategies accordingly.

Planning and Coordination:
Collaborate with the production team to develop and maintain an efficient production schedule.
Ensure accurate forecasting of material requirements based on sales forecasts and production plans.
Manage inventory levels to optimise stock and minimise waste.

Supplier Performance:
Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for suppliers and monitor their performance.
Conduct regular supplier audits and performance reviews.
Implement corrective actions when necessary to address performance issues.

Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings within the procurement and planning functions.
Lead initiatives to streamline operations and enhance overall supply chain efficiency.

The Successful Applicant We need a problem solver who understands procurement, inventory management, and supplier relationships in a manufacturing environment.

We are in a transition period, therefore, during this time we ideally want someone who is prepared to be present in the office.

Experience in procurement and planning, preferably within the FMCG or related industry.
Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
Proven ability to develop and implement strategic procurement plans.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving must be adept with Excel as we use this to forecast Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
