Key Responsibilities:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Specialist to join our team at West Coast Personnel. As a Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the procurement process from start to finish, ensuring that all purchases are made in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Key Requirements:

  1. Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a similar procurement role.
  2. Relevant certificate or diploma in procurement or logistics is highly desirable.
  3. Strong negotiation and communication skills are essential for building and maintaining relationships with suppliers and stakeholders.
  4. Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping is crucial for ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  5. Knowledge of basic accounting principles is advantageous for understanding financial implications of procurement decisions.
  6. Experience in a manufacturing environment, particularly in job costing, is highly desirable.
  7. Valid driver's license is required for travel to supplier sites.
  8. Knowledge of SARS Customs Rules and Incoterms is highly desirable for navigating complex international trade regulations.
  9. Working knowledge of Pastel Partner Accounting Package V19 is advantageous for streamlining financial processes.
  10. Intermediate knowledge of MS Excel is essential for data analysis and reporting.
  11. Intermediate knowledge of other MS Office packages, such as Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint, is also required.
  12. Intermediate knowledge of virtual programs, such as MS Teams, is highly desirable for remote collaboration.
