How will I help?

We are seeking a Senior Manager - Supplier Governance Support to join our dynamic team in Sydney. This role involves leading a team up to six professionals, managing supplier risk and overseeing governance activities. The ideal candidate will have strong background in risk management and stakeholder engagement.

Key Role Requirements


• Lead and mentor a team of Governance Managers and Associates, ensuring the development and operational excellence of supplier governance and risk assessment for sustained compliance.

• Build and maintain impactful relationships with key stakeholders.

• Act as an escalation point for Supplier Risk Assessments (SRA).

• Oversee triage and delegation of SRA tasks.

• Lead regulatory and policy change initiatives.

• Drive continuous improvement of the Supplier Risk Assessment support model.

• Develop, enhance and maintain reporting on Supplier Risk Assessment and Westpac's supplier risk environment.

• Oversee Material suppliers' adherence to the Supplier Risk Management Standard (SRMS).

• Ensure consistent support and management of supplier governance and risk assessment for compliance.

What do I need?


• Proven experience in risk management, ideally within a financial or procurement setting.

• Strong understanding of supplier risk and governance principles.

• Strong people leadership experience.

• Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to interact with senior leaders.

• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.

• Experience in implementation of supplier governance, due diligence and risk management program of work (desirable).

• High proficiency in COUPA Risk Assessment (CRA) functionality, process and troubleshooting (desirable).

• Relevant tertiary studies (desirable).
