This is a leave cover role, ideally based in SYDNEY.

Reporting into the VP International HR Operations based in Europe, this role is accountable for transforming and centralising the APAC HR Operations function as well as leading the APAC HR Operations servicing approximately 1000 managers and employees across 8 countries.

This key leadership role will be responsible for leading a team of up to 5 HR professionals.

Functions will include:


Lead the complete scope of HR services and systems as defined by the Global HR Service Catalogue to the APAC region, including overall performance, continuous improvement, and operational/cost efficiencies.

Ensure processes and practices follow relevant regional employment legislation and regulatory expectations.
Oversee compliance and controls and support internal and external audit activities.
Interact with HRBPs for prioritising and handling service delivery issues.
Interact with COEs for providing input, programme roll-out, feedback and change requests.
Represent APAC HR Operations in key leadership meetings and cross-functional strategic programs.
Provide high levels of operational excellence, efficiencies, risk management through the review of performance metrics.

Oversee PMO and change management initiatives to the APAC HR Operations function which may include changes to OD, scope of service and technology releases/enhancements.

Advocate a global way of working and creating a truly global mentality and set of behaviours and across the function.

What are we looking for in a Director HR Operations? What's important?

HR Operations experience including developing, implementing, and running HR operations across multiple countries with HR Saa S Technology
HR Compliance Expertise with strong understanding of HR Laws, regulations, and best practice to ensure compliance within APAC regions
Proficient in running and analysing HR data with the ability to draw insights and make informed decisions
Confident leadership skills, fostering teamwork, motivation, and development
Adept at optimizing HR processes and procedures
Understanding of cultural nuances and differences with APAC regions to facilitate effective HR strategies
Demonstrated skills in guiding and leading teams through organisational changes
Great communication skills both written and verbal to liaise with team, partners, and regulatory bodies.
Critical thinking with the ability to align HR operations with the broader business strategy.
A continuous improvement mentality.
Adaptable to evolving HR trends, regulatory changes, and organisational needs.
