Randstad is currently working with an industry leading organization which delivers major construction projects domestically and internationally, it has a fantastic reputation in the industry and has exceptional relationships with its clients. Many of the projects are set in remote locations and have strict quality and completion targets that must be met. With a current project pipeline of over $150 million of work in hand, this organization is growing rapidly and is expected to be awarded more projects in 2024. As a result, it is currently looking to source an Electrical Project Engineer (low voltage) to assist in the delivery of the electrical packages of work across two defence projects.
The Electrical Project Engineer will be responsible for designing electrical systems, performing project engineering duties and achieving high levels of quality assurance during electrical installations at various construction sites. This position demands a good degree of expertise in electrical engineering principles in a construction setting.
Key Responsibilities Will Include:
- Design and develop electrical systems and schematics tailored to construction projects.
- Undertake procurement, installation and commissioning of electrical systems on site, ensuring they meet project specifications and Australian Standards.
- Ensuring quality of works during installation of electrical systems on site.
- Ensure all electrical installations comply with Australian local, state, and federal regulations, industry safety standards and project specifications.
- Work closely with project managers, architects, and other engineering disciplines to align electrical systems with overall project goals.
Suitable candidates will be expected to have the following experience and qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering (accredited by Engineers Australia if acquired overseas).
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in electrical engineering, including minimum of 3 years in Australia, specifically in a construction project.
- Proficient in using industry-standard software like AutoCAD. Proficiency in Revit PowerCad preferred.
- Strong understanding of the latest electrical standards and safety regulations in AustraliaDetailed job descriptions, along with accurate information on the salary and benefits packages on offer for each position can be provided.
