Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop customized electrical systems and schematics for construction projects.
- Support the procurement, installation, and commissioning of electrical systems on site, ensuring adherence to project specifications and Australian Standards.
- Oversee quality control during the installation of electrical systems on site.
- Ensure compliance of all electrical installations with relevant Australian regulations, safety standards, and project specifications.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, and various engineering disciplines to align electrical systems with project objectives.
Requirements for Ideal Candidate:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from an institution accredited by Engineers Australia (if obtained overseas).
- Accreditation to approve electrical designs.
- Eligibility for registration on State electrical engineering register (e.g., RPEQ).
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in electrical design engineering within Australia.
- Proficiency in utilizing industry-standard software such as AutoCAD and other electrical design tools like PowerCad. Prior knowledge of Revit is preferred.
- Thorough understanding of current electrical standards and safety regulations in Australia.
