This role plays a critical part in maintaining and improving the safety and usability of footpaths and bikeways across our region.
Key ResponsibilitiesConduct thorough inspections of shared paths, covering a minimum of 1000km, utilizing Council-developed AI/ML devices.
Adhere to established methodologies for data collection, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
Save inspection data at regular intervals, with a minimum frequency of before each break and daily.
Identify opportunities for improving data collection processes, with a focus on safety, accuracy, and efficiency.
Provide daily verbal and weekly written progress reports on inspection activities.
Operate and improve computer and data acquisition systems independently, ensuring data integrity and security.
Maintain personal health and safety at work, and actively promote a safe working environment for colleagues and the public.
Collaborate effectively within a team environment, providing support and assistance to other team members as needed.
Undertake pre-start and post-use checks on vehicles and computer systems.
Participate in training, performance reviews, and development activities to enhance job performance and skills.
Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills when interacting with the public, representing the Council in a professional manner.
Requirements:
Current Australian "C" class driver's license.30215 QLD - General Safety Induction Card (White Card).Basic computer skills and proficiency in using mobile devices (tablets/smartphones).Understanding of computer systems and ability to operate data storage and backup systems.
Demonstrated knowledge or ability to acquire proficiency in MS Office and ESRI software.
Ability to work independently and contribute effectively to a small team.
Evidence of completion of Working in Proximity to Traffic – Awareness Part 1 and 2.Sound knowledge of data collection systems and experience in implementing process improvements.
