About the Position

This role will provide clients with a professional working environment, ensuring a clean, safe, productive and sustainable workplace for all employees.

Duties

  • Provide sound advice and recommendations on a range of routine to moderately complex enquiries from stakeholders in relation to a broad range of Facilities Management services
  • Be accountable for undertaking a range of Facilities Management activities and seek assistance when required
  • Assist in the provision of facilities management, accommodation and the purchase of workplace goods and services for clients
  • Manage client expectations by providing facilities and accommodation support including, but not limited to, assets and equipment management, building maintenance and fleet management
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the broader impacts and implications of relevant policy and linked property management functions
  • Demonstrate sound knowledge of relevant legislation, APS and agency policy, procedures and processes in relation to a range of Facilities Management services
  • Actively participate in staff development and training activities of the area, developing and coaching new and existing staff, and take steps to ensure own developmental needs are met
  • Liaise, negotiate and maintain effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders and team members by sharing knowledge of own area of expertise
  • Exercise judgement, in accordance with the principles found in documented precedents or procedures, to resolve issues of a new or unique nature that may be moderately complex
  • Deliver Facilities Management initiatives and programs in a professional and responsible manner
  • Ensure the day to day effectiveness and functionality of Facilities Management assets through appropriate management of resources
