The Opportunity

This role will be responsible for the overall introduction and maintenance of a new program Learning Management System (LMS) as well as manage overall training administration for our MQ-28 Ghost Bat training team located at RAAF Base Amberley.


Responsibilities:

  • Overall responsibility for implementation of new program LMS including initial development, consultation, and delivery
  • Provide ongoing advice, training and support to all users across the program
  • Perform configuration management activities including supporting LMS updates and upgrades into program such as reporting, permissions, collection of course catalogues, version control, documenting system changes etc.
  • Integrate and align LMS with the maintenance team Aircraft Maintenance System (AMS)
  • Produce, analyse, validate and maintain processes and procedures for the LMS which are suited to end users at all levels
  • Maintaining training records and courseware artefacts within the LMS
  • Maintain knowledge and understanding of LMS configuration and operations
  • Support personnel in change management activities by gathering information, inputting data and ensuring accuracy of data files. Review schedule performance data and generates metrics to ensure that the schedule is on plan.
  • Ensure overall governance and compliance of LMS across the program
  • Ensure overall compliance of mandatory and program specific training
  • Scheduling training and supporting the delivery of courses, including organising facilities, instructional staff, catering and training resources
  • Liaising with stakeholders, suppliers, learners and instructional staff to ensure the efficient, effective and timely delivery of training
  • Working with customer representatives and program stakeholders to define training requirements for their teams
Essential Criteria

  • Prior recent experience in a Training Administration/LMS Administration
  • Interpersonal skills to work in a multiteam environment
  • Experience working in a fastpaced, dynamic environment
  • Demonstrated experience administering a LMS system
  • Developing and managing LMS processes and procedures
  • Experience in implementing Configuration Management discipline
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to develop policies, procedures and workflows to drive efficiencies
  • Experience in configuration Management / Systems software support
  • Experience troubleshooting technical issues
Desirable Criteria

  • Defence Baseline Clearance
  • Ability to travel between the Amberley and Brisbane sites
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
  • Experience in training needs analysis
