The Opportunity

The Transport Account Lead - provides an opportunity for an outstanding leader who is keen to work with one of the leading and most recognised engineering consultancies on the local, national and global stage, to take our client relationships to the next level.

The role will work closely with the local delivery and client management teams to develop and implement work winning strategies and help the organisation continuously improve its delivery performance through a better understanding of client needs.

You will be external facing, working hand in hand with current and future clients to build long term, trusted relationships and solve some of the most complex and critical infrastructure challenges the state faces.

Your key responsibilities will include;

  • Developing work winning/client management strategies that are aligned with business objectives around social outcomes, commercial imperatives and operational requirements.
  • Primary point of contact with a Client and is responsible for the relationships with that Client (or a group of Clients).
  • Identify opportunities and convert them into Prospects; converting Prospects into Projects through bid teams by ensuring bids are technically excellent and commercially sound; and delivering outcomes for Clients through project teams by ensuring projects are to quality, budget and schedule.
  • Managing the clarifications and leading responses
  • Undertaking client proposal feedback, identifying key actions and managing the followthrough for continuous improvement.
  • Creating productive, longlasting and mutually successful client relationships through disciplined client relationship management and clientfocused project delivery.
  • Implementing and complying with appropriate governance and risk management frameworks
  • About You
  • Typically, 15+ years of relevant industry experience in one or more areas
  • Client Relationships, Business Development, Project Delivery and Key Management roles.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience
  • An aptitude for relationship building and relationship management
  • Previous experience in leading the development and implementation of a key account, client, market and business strategies including maximising revenue and profitable growth
  • Focused on delivering successful client outcomes on multidisciplinary projects
  • Contributed to commercial negotiations with the client including the implementation of appropriate governance and risk management procedures.
  • Identify resources from across disciplines and business units to deliver on projects/bids.
  • Ability to establish appropriate governance across key accounts, consultants and contractors
