About the company
You will be working for an award-winning Local Government authority in the inner North-eastern suburbs.

This is a great opportunity to work with an innovative and growing council, giving you the opportunity to broaden your local government experience and knowledge.

This is a full-time position, initially contracted until mid-way through July. The organisation is offering a flexible hybrid work model, 3 days in the office & 2 days from home.

The position sits in the People & Culture department which is part of the Corporate Services Directorate.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • To manage the council's recruitment function with support and guidance from the Talent Acquisition Team Lead
  • Coordinate and maintain recruitment processes and participate on interview panels.
  • Maintain the online recruitment management system and provide support and training to applicants and hiring managers.
  • Assist with the onboarding and induction of new employees.
  • Ensure that Equal Opportunity and antidiscriminatory practices are
- maintained.

  • Administer systems to ensure the proper process in terms of compliance
  • Assist with the implementation of OD and P&C programs across council.
  • Develop, implement, and review policies and procedures.

You will have the following:

  • Extensive recruitment experience (Minimum 3 years plus)
  • Great stakeholder management across all levels of recruitment e.g., Graduates up to Executives
  • Experience with graduate or apprenticeship programs (desirable)
  • Demonstrated drive and commitment with the ability to manage own work and deliver to a high standard.
  • Welldeveloped interpersonal skills, including the ability to discuss and resolve problems and gain cooperation and assistance from others.
  • A strong customer service focus with the ability to consult with clients and respond flexibly to changes in priorities
