Job Description:


As our Work Health and Safety Advisor you will support the Head of Safety in ensuring that NEXTDC operates and complies with all relevant safety legislation driving safe work practices across the business.


Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating our Work Health & Safety Portfolio
  • Developing and updating health & safety procedures and policies in line with applicable state and national legislation
  • Coordination and preparation of WHS reports for our CxO, Board and customers
  • Raising and following up incident tickets, incident logs and spreadsheets and corrective and preventative actions
  • Perform investigation of incidents, injuries and unsafe working conditions
  • Chairing the Work Health & Safety Committee, maintaining meeting minutes
  • Participate in workers compensation claims reviews, communication with injured workers and return to work strategies
  • Develop and run safety promotion activities across the business

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of State and National WHS legislation and standards
  • Experience in WHS incident investigation and audit
  • Experience in construction safety management
  • Proven ability to build stakeholder relationships at all levels of the organisation and the ability respond to changing business requirements
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask
  • Qualifications in Workplace Health and Safety
  • 5+ years' experience in a safety role
  • Welldeveloped computer skills including excellent MS Office Suite skills
