Forming part of our Research & Development Leadership Team the role of Packaging Development Manager is key in driving innovative & sustainable packaging initiatives across our ANZ business.

As our local packaging SME you will lead & drive consumer winning packaging innovation all whilst ensuring sustainability, quality, efficiency and cost goals are met.


There is no question that packaging is at an exciting junction with sustainability being a key focus for both companies & consumers.

At Kellogg we are working towards a goal of 100% reusable, recyclable or compostable packaging by 2025 and this role will play a pivotal one in the ANZ market to drive this forward.

Key responsibilities include:
_**- Identification, development and implementation of packaging opportunities to drive and support our innovation agenda

  • Working with our Manufacturing teams to drive efficiency in process or deliver cost savings that provide a competitive advantage for the business
  • Partner with existing suppliers to leverage their knowledge and capabilities and keep abreast of developments in the packaging industry
  • Work with procurement to establish relationships with new packaging suppliers where necessary
  • Provide expertise to guide and influence the sustainability agenda
  • Management and development of a Packaging Technologist

Skills, experience & attributes sought:

_**Coupled with Food Science / Packaging, or material science, a strong track record of success in a similar role in the food packaging industry is essential for your success in this role.

You will have an innovative and creative approach to problem solving and new design implementation.
Working cross functionally and with external suppliers to achieve great results, you will have well developed written and verbal communication and influencing skills
You passion for delivering sustainable and innovative packaging solutions will engage and inspire others
