We are seeking an
RTSPS Systems Lead to work across all product groups and group functions globally designing and supporting the Rio Tinto implementation of RTSPS best practice standards and the associated sustainable methodology.

Reporting to the General Manager, RTSPS People & Design, you will join a team responsible for the design, build, refinement and guidance of RTSPS systems and practices in partnership with Product Groups and Group Functions.

We are the key custodians of the overall RTSPS including best practices and associated methodology. Our aim is to sustainably deliver, whilst maintaining a continuous improvement mindset and celebrating success together.

Your role will involve:

  • Leading a systematic approach for RTSPS through Plan-DoCheck-Act to achieve the agreed program milestones including:

System Content (Plan):

  • Design, build and refine System Components including Best Practices and Methodology with functional integration. This includes standards, supporting materials, "How to" Guides and Health Checks, ensuring group bestpractice is leveraged and enhanced

Readiness (Plan) - prepare to make practices sustainable through partnership including increased visibility, awareness and change impact assessment

Support Implementation (Do) through partnership with practice leads, deployment teams, SPS network, capability development team with roles and responsibilities clearly defined

Review Performance / Effectiveness (Check) of the system design through a continuous feedback loop, maturity assessments and ongoing improvement methodology based on performance and value with clear milestones for review.

  • Supporting the governance process that enables standards and the supporting materials to be continuously improved so they are fit for purpose and truly make an impact at our sites to enable Rio Tinto to become the best operator.
