The Program Manager will play a key role in ensuring the success of a talent pipeline for the expanding Command for Hauling roles in Australia. You will focus on creating and leading a 6-month cohort designed to prepare employees for supporting the MineStar fleet management application for the customer's autonomous haulage fleet, focusing on maximizing performance. You will recruit, lead, and manage two cohorts annually while managing the monthly reporting of the worldwide AHS performance. You will partner with the MineStar Site Managers and universities to provide input and develop a plan for the Cohort program enhancements and requirements. You will ensure the cohort participants are prepared to support a mine site with troubleshooting issues impacting performance and work with key Caterpillar teams in product support to identify, document, and provide solutions for ongoing product improvements after the 6-month intensive program.
This role would suit someone with strong operational mining or fleet management experience looking to utilize that knowledge to lead and mentor the talent pipeline on the AHS Operations Team in Australia. You will help to ensure the cohort is prepared to configure the Command for Hauling system and maintain and operate the system according to Caterpillar specifications and best practices. This role would work directly with the Technology Training Team and other training partners to schedule and organize all cohort training needs to facilitate an intensive and deliberate learning experience. Ongoing coaching and mentoring of the Command for Hauling system application for graduates of the intensive cohort are also crucial aspects of the role.
Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Worldwide Command for Hauling monthly reporting
- Create and lead an Intensive AHS Operations Training cohort
- Targeted University recruiting
- Ongoing relationship and recruiting activities with universities for two cohorts per year.
- 6-month intensive training program before the cohort is assigned to a mine site
- Cross-train cohort in both AHS MineStar Application and Onboard systems
- Management and mentorship of 4 to 6 cohort members
- Future responsibilities would include the facilitation of additional support programs:
- "Engineering – Introduction to Operations" education and support program
- Liaison with the MTC rotational program
- Mentor and support value creation projects at AHS sites, utilizing Cohort participants.
- Establish a sustainable intern program.
- Work with the MineStar Site Managers to provide input and develop a plan for the Cohort program enhancements and requirements.

Top Candidates Will Also Have:
- Surface mining experience
- Business Objects, PowerBI, Excel, and other data analytical reporting tool expertise.
- Demonstrated leadership attributes
- Fleet Management control room experience.
- University degree in Engineering, Data Science/Analytics, Mining, or similar vocational working background
- University recruiting experience.
- Familiar with Shift and FIFO/DIDO Roster schedules
