Be the forefront of maintenance planning for our Southern Teams


We have an exciting permanent full-time opportunity for a methodical and motivated Strategic Operations & Maintenance Planner to join our team in Osborne Park.


The purpose of this critical role is to develop short-term and long-term complex maintenance plans that support Maintenance Planning, Scheduling and Execution whilst considering required Levels of Service and Asset Criticality.

You will play a key role in strategising and implementing ways in which we increase asset reliability and reduce our asset's whole of life cost.


A typical day would have you creating and/or reviewing maintenance plans for specific Function Location Classification, assigning correct tasks as well as work instructions, assigning a unit rate, and working with the site planners to have the maintenance plan implemented on site.


You will facilitate the development and management of a Work Instruction library for all maintenance plans across the business unit.

You will create work instructions for planned maintenance and prioritise these works based on the level of urgency and the Business demand.


Your portfolio will cover the South Team - Woodman Point Water Resource Recovery Plant and Kwinana Water Resource Recovery Plant, along with the Dams and Pump stations that make up the "Water South" division.

While Osborne Park will be your primary location, you will conduct day trips to travel to these sites (pool company vehicle offered).

You will ensure the work instructions and strategies are ready for execution by the Operations and Maintenance field crew. Your impact in the short-term encompasses seamless planning and execution of preventative maintenance on our assets.


In the long-term, picture the positive impact you will have contributed to the business by increasing asset reliability, and creating documentation that supports the execution teams to effectively maintain assets.

An experienced Work Program Manager leads the team, with a broad understanding for Treatment and Resource Recovery future vision and goals and knowing how to best implement the team functionality to help and assist.

The manager aims to build a team of experts, with confidence to lead with influence.

The team is a dynamic and supportive group of individuals who work together towards a common goal.

The qualifications, skills and experience we require:

You will have a tertiary or trade qualification in a relevant discipline and considerable experience in field-based asset operations and maintenance in a large infrastructure-based service organisation.

Ideally, you would have extensive experience in works planning and maintenance execution in heavy industrial environment.

As you will be travelling to your south team sites, you will need a valid WA Driver's License.
