As the Strategic Communications Officer within this Federal Agency, you'll be at the forefront of driving impactful communication strategies to support the Scheme.

Location: Perth CBD office

Pay rate: $60.26 p/h + Super

Flexibility: WFH 2 days and 3 days in the office after training

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Champion plain English and ensure all collateral is accessible and aligns with style and branding guidelines.
  • Lead by example, serving as a trusted communications expert and guiding internal stakeholders and business partners to achieve project objectives.
  • Draft clear, concise, and effective messaging tailored to diverse audiences, including talking points and speeches.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of communication plans, overseeing approvals and coordinating the release of collateral.
  • Cultivate important internal stakeholder relationships, proactively addressing challenges and resolving issues.
  • Evaluate communication effectiveness, identify areas for improvement, and ensure project objectives are met.
  • Support team members with administrative, technical, and procedural tasks.

Additional Position Details:

  • This is a team leadership position, with delegated authority and responsibility to resolve issues and risks across various activities.
  • You'll provide leadership, control, planning, resource management, performance management, and decision-making for the team.
  • Offer detailed technical, professional, policy, and operational support and advice on complex problems.
  • Liaise with a range of internal and external stakeholders, representing the branch/division/NDIA on complex or sensitive issues.
