This team leader administration position is responsible for the efficient reception, administration and office management of the Northern Sydney Prevention and Response to Violence, Abuse and Neglect (PARVAN) Services.

A key feature of this position is the interface with and support of service delivery to clients and North Sydney Local Health District (NSLHD) Health workers contacting the service.

This position has frontline, first point of contact responsibility for the Northern Sydney PARVAN Service and supervises the PARVAN administration officer level 3.

What you'll be doing


This senior team leader administration position is responsible for the efficient reception, administration and office management of the Northern Sydney Prevention and Response to Violence, Abuse and Neglect (PARVAN) Services.

A key feature of this position is the interface with and support of service delivery to clients and NSLHD Health workers contacting the service.

This position has frontline, first point of contact responsibility for the Northern Sydney PARVAN Service. This role has a supervisory role of the PARVAN administration level 3 officer.

  • Demonstrated efficiency and advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, word processing (and experience with information systems such as Cerner, OfficeMax, Oracle, Health Roster, SharePoint, HETI online and TRIM
  • Demonstrated ability to perform a wide range of administrative tasks to work autonomously and within a multidisciplinary team to achieve service outcomes with mínimal supervision, exercising independent judgement, discretion and initiative, prioritising work and meeting deadlines whilst under sustained pressure, and maintain accuracy and attention to detail
  • Possess well developed communication skills and the ability to bring a creative approach to problem solving and conflict resolution. This should be supported by advanced interpersonal skills and a history of effective communication with key stakeholders, including young people, families/carers, or patients who are experience high levels of stress or trauma and other NSW Health Services and external providers.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the requirements for maintaining and safeguarding confidentiality and privacy of client information in a health care setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage physical and financial resources to achieve required outcomes, develop and review operational systems, and provide input to the Clinical Coordinator on procedural guidelines, relevant to specific tasks and responsibilities.
