About the Role

The Business Analyst aids the Manager Business Insights and Optimization in collaborating with business owners to recognize and implement the necessary business enhancements for Melbourne Water to evolve into a more efficient, productive, and customer-focused organization.

  • Assist the business in generating problem-solving ideas and help in translating insights into performance and opportunities to guide the enhancement pipeline
  • Aid in pinpointing and executing the improvements needed to reach the organization's strategic objectives
  • Collaborate with the business to identify and implement business enhancements at both a local and enterprise-wide level
  • Promote the growth of improvement skills within the business
  • Forge effective working relationships with subject matter experts from various organizational areas to facilitate improvements
  • Advocate for best practices in program and change management
  • Actively challenge the existing state of affairs and stimulate innovative thoughts

About you:

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the capability to develop solid and impactful relationships
  • Background in analyzing and implementing continuous improvement methodologies and solutions
  • Experience from contributing to a business transformation or continuous improvement initiative
  • Demonstrated proficiency in utilizing analytical software or database applications for data extraction
  • Proficiency in visualization tools such as PowerBI to craft engaging visual representations of data for stakeholders, narrating a story that steers decision-making
  • High-level analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills to offer valuable solutions and advice
