We are currently offering a rewarding opportunity for an astute
Payroll Analyst to join our team based in Docklands, VIC.


About the Opportunity:

Reporting to the Reporting and Planning Manager, this role sits within a small team that provides the critical link between the Payroll/HR team, Finance and the wider business

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring payroll transactions are recorded in an accurate and timely manner by:
  • Oversee the interface of data from the payroll management system to ERP system
  • Work closely with the Payroll team to identify and rectify any issues
  • Posting payrollrelated journal entries
  • Preparing general ledger reconciliations for payrollrelated balance sheet accounts
  • Contribute salaries & wages information for budgeting and forecasting purposes
  • Assist other head office functions with payrollrelated matters as required
  • Project work as required including assessment of implications and change management for any new legislation or other changes impacting payroll

About You:

The successful applicant will have proven experience working in a large finance/accounting function within a complex organisation. They will also bring with them proven knowledge of accounting standards, both technical and practical implementation.

In addition, the ideal person will bring.

  • Degree in Accounting/Commerce
  • Completed professional accounting qualification (CA/CPA/CIMA)
  • Highly developed communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Highly developed analytical skills
  • Strong organisational skills to manage conflicting and changing priorities
  • Proficient with MS Excel and large ERP systems
