The Opportunity


This rare senior leadership role is a unique opportunity for an experienced National Clinical Documentation Improvement Manager to join the Healthscope team at a really exciting time.

Key milestones this role will play an integral part in, include:

Healthscope's transition from a Hospital-by-Hospital approach to a centralised National approach, the implementation of best practice downstream and concurrent Clinical Documentation practices, processes in line with a oneHealthscope methodology.

This role will work closely with our Health Information and Coding functions including in the expansion of our coding education program and development of a VMO and Clinical education program geared at improving Clinical Documentation and Patient Experience in real-time.

This is a National role and work can be performed anywhere across our Healthscope network.


The National Clinical Documentation Improvement Manager will lead the standardisation and process improvement of our Clinical Documentation practices and processes across our broader Revenue Cycle.

This includes accountability over Hospital and Clinical team engagement and education, VMO engagement, data, insights and reporting as well as the implementation of a Continuous Improvement mantra.

As a Healthcare leader reporting to the Group General Manager - Revenue Cycle Management, you will work with cross-functional Operational teams from across the organisation, including our 38 Hospitals, to influence change, develop frameworks, policies and guidelines to optimise the governance of Clinical Documentation Improvement.


Backed by a team of Clinical Documentation Specialists across the Healthscope network, this role is well supported at both an Operational and Strategic level.

About You


You will be a demonstrated people leader with significant experience in leading high performance teams at both an Operational and Strategic level.

You have considerable knowledge of Clinical practices, health funding models, clinical coding and documentation and leveraging data, analytics and reporting will ensure your success in this role.

To be considered for this role, you will have:

  • Bachelor/Master's degree in Nursing, Allied Health, Medicine, Health Information Management or equivalent
  • More than 10 year's experience in Private Hospital leadership roles/positions
  • Clinical Documentation Specialist Certification (desired)
  • Postgraduate Management qualifications in one of Business, Commerce, Education, Health Information or Clinical Coding (desired)
  • Leadership experience within the private health sector (desired)
