Principal Project Manager, Clinical Imaging Repository

Eden Ritchie is looking for a Principal Project Manager to oversee the successful delivery of digital and Information and Communication Technology (ICT) initiatives (Clinical Imaging Repository) that contribute to positive clinical and patient outcomes across the Department and the State. This involves providing leadership to diverse project teams, both internal and external, to ensure high-quality, timely, and cost-effective completion of activities to establish the Clinical Imaging Repository within the Department.
- 12 Month Contract
- Location: Fortitude Valley
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of project management resources in executing key projects with a focus on performance, reporting, and implementation.
- Oversee the delivery of complex projects to achieve desired outcomes and provide responsive enterprise solutions.
- Maintain project management capability by leading and directing project teams effectively.
- Offer expert advice and input to ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and align with Department policies.
- Manage projects according to best practices and the Department's project management guidelines to ensure consistent and high-quality outcomes.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to facilitate effective communication and successful project delivery.
- Monitor project trends, performance, and budget adherence.
- Develop information for stakeholders to support decision-making on project issues.
- Take responsibility for identifying, managing, and reporting risks related to projects.
- Adhere to service quality standards and occupational health and safety policies.
- Act in alignment with the Department's core values.
Technical Expertise:
- Project Management: Experience in planning and delivering clinical and/or capital works projects in a large delivery environment.
- Governance: Proficiency in project management methodologies such as PRINCE/Agile and assurance tools.
- Clinical / Capital Works / Health Experience: Previous involvement in healthcare-related projects is advantageous.
Soft Skill Capability & Cultural Fit:
- Leadership and Team Management: Ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams and mentor others in project management practices.
- Stakeholder Management & Negotiation: Strong communication and negotiation skills to foster productive relationships with various stakeholders.
- Problem-solving & Innovation: Capacity to identify and solve issues creatively while adhering to governance requirements.
