Talent International is searching for multiple experienced Strategic Communications Officer to join our client, a Perth based Federal national disability support organisation on a 12- month contract.

This is a hybrid position, consisting of 3 days in the office and 2 from home, paying an hourly rate $60.26 per hour + 11% superannuation.
An average of 37.5 hour weeks is expected.

Location: Perth
Contract: 12 months

About the Role

We are seeking an APS6 Strategic Communications Officer to lead our team within the NDIA. This role involves leadership, resource management, and decision-making across various activities. You will provide technical, professional, policy, and operational support, addressing complex issues and driving strategic planning, program management, and policy development to support our mission of building a world-leading National Disability Insurance Scheme.

Key Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Champion plain English and ensure all materials are accessible and comply with NDIS style and branding guidelines.
  • Lead by example as a trusted communications expert, assisting internal stakeholders and business partners in achieving project objectives.
  • Draft clear, concise, and effective messaging for diverse audiences, including talking points and speeches.
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive communications plans, ensuring timely approvals and coordination of go-live collateral.
  • Build and maintain important internal stakeholder relationships, addressing and resolving challenges.
  • Evaluate the impact of communications efforts, identifying lessons learned and assessing project objectives.
  • Support team members with administrative, technical, and procedural tasks.

Role Requirements

  • Open office environment and occasional remote work.
  • Hot desk environment.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting and computer work.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and NDIA business systems.
  • Potential presence of assistance animals in the workplace.
