We are seeking a Policy Officer to work within the Community Engagements Education Team.

The Education Team develops educational and commemorative resources and engages with the primary and senior school teaching community, and the broader public to raise awareness of the diverse experiences of Australian Military service.

Under direction of the Assistant Director and APS6 Policy Officer, the role is responsible for responding to enquiries, development of community material and resources.

Through this role, you will liaise with DVA staff, ex-service organisations, schools and community organisations, veterans and their families.

Our ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills, high level research skills and be able to manage a variety of competing demands.

Duties

Duties Eligibility
Notes This recruitment process is being used to fill ongoing and/or non-ongoing position/s.

Where a non-ongoing position is offered, the role will be filled for an initial specified term of up to18 months.

A merit pool of suitable applicants may be created which may be used to fill future ongoing and non-ongoing vacancies should they become available over the next 18 months.

Successful applicants engaged into the APS will be subject to a probation period.
