As the Manager Operational Performance & Planning, you will be responsible for strategic leadership and transformation activity across all QantasLink operational areas, to facilitate optimal operational performance, costs efficiency and improving customer satisfaction.

The role is accountable across all QantasLink AOC's with operations oversight of the Alliance Airlines wet-lease agreement.


In this role you will oversee the development of the framework, including promotion, advice, and reporting to drive Qantas regional operational performance ensuring punctuality targets are met.

The position will also lead the network development and network planning process on behalf of QantasLink to ensure the adequate provision of resources and infrastructure to support the operation within the bid period and upcoming schedules through effective collaboration with Network and Workforce planning including changes to operational setting that are likely to impact the operation.

In addition, this position leads the coordinating across a broad range of key stakeholders.

This includes providing assessment of the likely operational performance of the schedule, risk areas of operational delivery, opportunities required to mitigate as well as resource capability to delivery.

You'll have

  • Experience with dealing in a complex business environment and engaging, negotiating with and influencing stakeholders at an executive level
  • Previous experience in an Operations Planning or Network role with thorough knowledge of the operational environment is desirable
  • Results orientated and ability to drive improvements in OTP, Customer Satisfaction and NPS
  • Strategic orientation and experience in translating strategic objectives into programs of work
  • Ability to manage multiple, simultaneous programs of work and priorities resources accordingly
  • Previous experience in leading and managing teams is advantageous
  • Ability to contribute to a crossfunctional management team
  • Demonstrated experience in reengineering business processes and managing change
  • Results orientated and ability to drive improvements in OTP, Customer Satisfaction and NPS
