About the role:

The Investment, Governance & Assurance Department is seeking to recruit a suitably experienced Procurement Governance Manager. Reporting to the Director, Procurement.

The Procurement Governance Manager will be responsible for leading and managing a team of professionals working with business functions across the organisation, including providing accurate and timely commercial and procurement related administrative support to the organisation, managing key stakeholders internally and externally, and be a key advisor for the Director, Procurement.

Your duties will include:

  • Managing and mentoring a team of three who provide commercial and procurement services to the organisation.
  • Provide expert high level procurement policy and commercial advice.
  • Provide authoritative advice on the review of all procurement submissions.

As the successful applicant, you will have:

  • Expertise in reviewing and managing commercial and procurement documentation.
  • Strong governance and relationship building skills.
  • Working across other departments, agencies and the VGPB.
  • Experience working with senior executives in a complex and demanding organisation.
  • Experience working in a transformational procurement function.
  • Experience in managing a small but experienced team.

  • This position is located at Victoria Police Centre, 311 Spencer Street, Docklands.
