What will you do?

As the Purchasing Officer, you will be part of the Procurement Team responsible for placing orders for business units across the business, coordinating and managing suppliers, ordering anything from Medical Consumables, Furniture, Linen, equipment and alike items for use across the business.


The Procurement team is solution orientated and works closely with our suppliers and other departments to ensure our customer's orders are delivered in full, on time and to specification.

The role requires a person who is customer focused, efficient, well organised with good time management and people skills.

As a part of the Procurement team, you will need to possess good computer skills, attention to detail and accuracy.


Who are you?

  • Ideally you have 13 years' experience with demonstrated experience in Purchasing in Healthcare, Aged Care sector, this would be highly regarded but not essential.
  • Willingness to enhance the customer experience by working with enthusiasm, energy, and pace
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, including a professional phone manner
  • Proven ability to provide solutions and think outside the box
  • Well organised with good time management and the ability to work under pressure in a fastpaced environment
  • Qualifications or certifications in Purchasing, desirable

What will you do?

  • Generate purchase orders and obtain and process quotations
  • Monitor delivery schedules to ensure ontime arrivals and follow up on any deviations from plan.
  • Follow up outstanding orders with suppliers to ensure our customer orders are delivered on time in full.
  • Monitor and maintain accuracy of various reports, pricing, product information, and supplier details
  • Input new products and suppliers in our systems, and kept them up to date
  • Manage several data bases (Smartsheet, Share Page, Excell and Viso)
  • Review and administer supplier price lists updates
  • General administration duties relating to purchasing, filing, preparing reports, attending meetings
