Role


With a few years BD experience under your belt, you will be joining a wider national Business Development & Marketing team of over 60 professionals, and part of an already existing, high performing, PIER BD team who are ready to welcome you into the fold.


The core and immediate focus of this role is to support the business development (BD) strategies and marketing activities of the Infrastructure, Energy and Resources sector, with a particular focus on Resources.

This is an incredibly exciting and interesting sector to work in and we want BD professionals who understand that and enjoy working to high standards with Partners who will see you as a trusted Advisor.

This 12mth parental leave cover will support the BD team in the development and preparation of marketing materials, tender/bid submissions (as well as efficiently maintaining content, tools and templates), conducting research on industry and competitor trends, contributing to planning and strategy development as well as client engagement.


This is a hands-on role needing excellent stakeholder and project management skills, and an ability to influence and engage across all levels.

You will have a natural curiosity that will see you ask the right questions and keep across market developments to assist in identifying business development opportunities.

Who are we looking for?


This is a hands-on role needing a natural collaborator with strong stakeholder and project management skills, and an ability to engage across all levels.

As a team player, you understand the need to assist the wider team across all areas of practice and will bring a confidence to work with a degree of autonomy with partners and key stakeholders.


You will also bring:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Business or Commerce as well as 3+ years of experience in a business development or professional services role Ability to develop enduring and trusted relationships with internal and external clients
  • Demonstrated track record working collaboratively (being a 'team player'), with teams locally and nationally within a corporate, professional services or related environment
  • Ability to juggle numerous projects in a fastpaced environment working well under pressure and to tight timetables
  • Strong EQ and the ability to exercise judgment including prioritising items to deliver day to day/operational business development support
  • An ability to think analytically and conduct research on business trends, market, client and competitor intelligence
  • Ability to support the implementation of revenue enhancing, business and marketing strategies
  • Experience delivering effective day to day/operational business development support
