The opportunity:


As the Risk and Compliance Specialist, you will engage with a range of stakeholders to develop and promote a proactive risk culture for AIA Australia's Life Insurance business.

In the critical role, you will identify, monitor, and mitigate risk and support the business to comply with our obligations to customers and regulators.

This is a full-time permanent opportunity based in Sydney or Melbourne.

To do this successfully you will:

  • Assist the Life Insurance Business Unit to develop and implement effective controls
  • Develop innovative and improved operating practices for control design and testing
  • Monitor the risk profile to identify, understand, escalate, and report on issues, incidents, and business changes
  • Provide timely business commentary and information on the business risk profile for risk reporting purposes
Experience in, or strong familiarity with, supporting risk and compliance functions within the financial services industry. Working knowledge of products, distribution or processes within the Retail or Life Insurance industry will be highly regarded.

You will be naturally inquisitive with a passion for doing the right thing by our customers. You can engage, build relationships, and constructively challenge various stakeholders across the business. You can balance quality and speed of work within the ebbs and flow of a demanding environment.
