The Role:
The ideal candidate will have a passion for estate planning andsuccession planning.
Experience in succession with structures suchas family trusts and self-managed superannuation funds is essentialas well as the ability to better understand each of their clients,their families, and their businesses to provide practicalcommercially viable solutions.
The key responsibilities of thisrole include: Providing strategic guidance on asset protection andsuccession matters for high-net-worth individual clients, bothfrom an estate planning and business perspective Dealing with businesses and structures such as familytrusts and SMSFs as part of succession and estate planning Handling complex asset protection matters, includingsetting up and maintain various asset structures (e.g.testamentary trusts, family trusts, SMSFs)Planning and drafting of Wills Handling general and Enduring Powers of Attorney Managing tax issues in estate planning Requirements:
Minimum 5+ years PAE in a highly regarded firm Planning and succession planning matters Front-end exposure to drafting wills, testamentary trustsand enduring Powers of Attorney trust deed variations andbinding death benefit nominations Experience in dealing with businesses and structures suchas family trusts and SMSFs as part of succession planning Ability to provide strategic and commercially focused legaladvice Proven capability of mentoring other team members Pragmatic, outcome-focused approach Ability to work autonomously and manage competing timeframes effectively General commercial legal experience would be anadvantage Work with renowned experts in the succession and alignedareas to build your knowledge'5-star' Employer of Choice by HRD and Australasian Lawyer and 2024 Beaton Client Choice Award winnersfor 'best law & related services firm' ($30m -$100m revenue)Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and wellbeinginitiatives Wellness facilities and onsite classes (i.e.
