About the role
The Mater Hospital Administration Team has an opportunity for experienced Patient Financial Liaison Officer or Senior Administration Officer with finance experience to join the Mater Private Inpatient Finance Team.
Salary range:
$ $43.90 (MCA4) per hour plus superannuation and salary packaging
What you'll be doing:
This position will involve but not limited to:
- Accurate billing of patients, health funds and other third party insurers according to relevant Health Fund Contracts to ensure maximum revenue is obtained.
- Process accounts and assist with the resolution of account queries for patients and Health Funds.
- Manage eclipse rejections and billing errors.
- Manage requests and followup of certification and other documentation required for health fund billing.
- Assist with follow up of outstanding debt.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to internal and external clients at all times.
About you
- Previous experience of working in a health related environment, particularly in the area of health fund contracts, debt collection or patient billing.
- Knowledge of or the ability to acquire knowledge of the terms and conditions of health fund contracts
- Excellent telephone and facetoface communication skills
- Ability to have complex financial conversations with patients in a sensitive manner
- Ability to work as a member of a multidisciplinary team, as well as working unsupervised
- Attention to detail ability to meet deadlines.
